Athena
Athena
Athena, along with Hestia and Artemis, is one of the three virgin goddesses of Olympus and one of the most powerful deities. Artisans, craftsmen, and tradesmen celebrated her as their teacher and patron, and the women of ancient Greece revered her as the teacher of all women’s arts, such as cooking, weaving, and spinning. Athena is said to have invented the plow, the rake, the yoke, the bridle, the chariot, and the ship, as well as the flute and the trumpet. A supreme strategist, Athena is less of a warrior than a protector. Even though she is the goddess of war,
she receives no pleasure from battle. Rather, she enjoys her role as mediator, and prefers to settle disputes by upholding and interpreting the law. Not only do her judgments reveal great wisdom, they show great compassion and mercy as well.
Athena’s father was Zeus, the mighty king of gods. One of his first loves was an ocean nymph named Metis. When Metis became pregnant, she told Zeus that the child she was bearing, which she expected to be a boy, would eventually dethrone him. Zeus was not going to take any risks, so he swallowed the pregnant Metis. Soon after, he developed such a terrible headache that he asked Prometheus, a Titan, to split open his head to relieve the pressure. From Zeus’s split head emerged Athena, fully armed and fully clothed. She instantly became her father’s favorite child, the only one who knew where his lightening bolts were hidden and the only one permitted to use his magically potent shield.
Athena is perhaps the most benevolent of goddesses. She has very few selfish, ulterior motives, and is almost always totally ethical. (Like most of her fellow deities, however, Athena was known to punish those who did not honor her.) The most famous example of her role as protector is her championship of the Greeks in the Trojan War, which, with Athena’s help, the Greeks eventually won. Athena became a “cheerleader” for various heroes, helping them to win their battles, accomplish their tasks and achieve greatness.

Womans cycle…… yoga sayulita
According to Bobby Clennel
lA womens strength increases with rising hormone levels during the first half of her cycle. Active poses can be gradually introduced long deep forward bends may well provide the counter balance to the rising estrogen levels
At the midpoint of the cycle, a women’s at her strongest, mentally physically.High levels of estrogen make tendons and ligaments more lax now. so the advanced poses are easier to preform.Be mindful to not practice with your ego. allow common sense to guide your practice ….
Day 19 or 20 during the progesterone phase of the cycle observe your energy and ability to perform asanas many women feel more sluggish practice standing sitting forward bends inversions backbends and twists through to the end of your cycle.

Teenagers – Aging ….Yoga Sayulita
Teenagers should be bursting with health though we notice the rising incidences of chronic sore throats, lung disorders such as asthma and orthopedic issues. The causes are many one factor that does stand out is negligence ,the problem is left unattended until it reaches a certain amount.
Asthma for instance can be brought on by food climate condition. It is important to obtain relief first and uninterrupted frequency of practice of asana (poses) and pranayama (breath work)

THE HABIT OF SMOKING at an early age damages the nerves of the body and makes it insensitive.
Teenagers have POOR POSTURE when they sit reading ,on the beach or at the computer they also stand with poor posture, lack of excerice makes spinal and hamstring muscles very stiff.
POOR EATING make teenagers obese, act out, this complicates the problem of the cells of the body ,spinal fluid, nerves e.t.c
YOGA is cellular quietening whilst other excerises are cellular noise. The massage of internal organs is invaluable to the body.
AGING is not just physical it is psychological too. In yoga if a person way of thinking has become ridged it has already aged. As the bamboo tree bends in the wind it is the oak tree that gets damaged
.Aging does not affect the inner self.As one becomes older be become assorted to many fears.
Death,
Geriatric disorders
Cancer
Going on an airplane
Loss of power
Finical security being
Burden to ones children…
GROWING OLD GRACEFULLY IS AN ART THAT CAN BE PRACTICED EFFORLESSLY WITH THE HELP OF YOGA!!
The regular practice of yoga will give confidence that health can be maintained until the very end.

Moving into stillness Sayulita Yoga
Yoga is a way of moving into stillness in order to experience the truth of who you are.It is also a way of learning to be centered in action so that you have the clearest view of what is happening so then you can act in the proper manner. It is designed to uncover and discover your true nature so that everyday there is new awareness.
W hen moving into the stillness the powerful changes that take place will be very profound and very welcome . You will see the world beautiful as it is.It wont be distorted with any influence. It will just be.
You come to realize that everything that you do and say think or feel as well as every aspect of your behavior is predicted on how you feel about yourself and this governs your quality of life.
